Frequently Asked Questions

If I arrive after normal business hours or on the weekend, how do I pay and register for camping?

At Cottonwood RV Park, there will be registration forms and a payment drop on the entrance sign to the park. Until the sign and registration materials are in place, payment can be made at either the Duane Knutson Community Center (located one block northwest of the campground) by placing payment in an envelope and dropping it in the library book return located at the south entrance to the building.

For Agassiz Environmental Learning Center there are payment envelopes and a drop box located at the sign kiosk at the entrance to the Learning Center.

Are pets allowed in the campground?

At all campsites, pets are only allowed if they are always on a leash when they are outside. Tethered dogs must be under the supervision of the owner at all times. Outdoor crates and kennels are not allowed. Animal waste must be picked up immediately and disposed of properly.

What are the campground rules about noise?

Quiet time at all campgrounds is from 9 p.m. to 8 a.m. Please be respectful of your neighbors.

Where do I dispose of garbage?

At all times in all campgrounds, garbage needs to be secured in a plastic bag and the campsite kept free of debris that can be blown around.

At Cottonwood RV Park a dumpster is provided at the south east side of the campground. For campers at Cannon Park, garbage will have to be hauled out since there are no garbage cans provided.

At the Learning Center there are garbage cans located at the east end of the Visitor's Center. However, the cans have limited capacity so garbage will need to be hauled out by campers if there is a large amount.

For the Learning Center, campers should also be aware that there are bears in the area so food and garbage should be secured in a vehicle overnight to avoid attracting bears.

Where can I fill my RV's water tank in Fertile?

There is a coin operated water salesman located on the east side of the Fire Hall located at 110 Main Ave. E.

Is there is a sewer dump station in Fertile?

There is an RV dump station located north and east of Northside Express located at 702 N. Mill St.
